I have not written fic in a hot minute and coming back with a weird-ass piece like this was truly not the way to make a comeback. But then again, it's very authentic to how I feel about fic writing these days and reflects the sort art and stories that I have been finding especially compelling recently. I probably have more to say about my own relationship to fic writjng and fandom, but that's for another time.

This fic was written in response to a 17hols prompt by rainiest. I've been feeling creatively dry for many months now, and had been scrolling through 17hols in search of a spark of inspiration. This was one of a small handful of prompts that I saved, and when I saw in this post that this was a prompt that E really wanted filled, I decided to focus on seeing what I could put together.
